MACROS 6.0 Release
DATADVANCE development team is pleased to announce the release of MACROS 6.0, a new stable version of the MACROS library and featured plug-ins.
This release finalizes the transition from the deprecated GTIVE module to the new sensitivity and dependency analysis module, GTSDA. In MACROS 6.0 the GTIVE module is removed; its functionality is fully covered by GTSDA which has again received a documentation update as well as significant performance improvements (up to 6 times speedup).
Major updates in MACROS 6.0 include:
- An improvement in all gradient-based optimization methods in GTOpt that allowed them to deal with cusp-like singularities in objective and constraint functions (codimension-one discontinuities of first derivatives). In particular, this can result in better performance when solving problems like structural optimization, where cusp singularities are common.
- The new technique for generating mixed orthogonal arrays added to GTDoE.
MACROS 6.0 also fixes a few bugs discovered since the previous stable release, MACROS 5.3. For full details on recent updates and bugfixes you can refer to the latest changelog, or contact us to receive more information and MACROS updates!
